Message from our Editors

   Hi everyone, your editors here!

Although it may be a little delayed, we would like to welcome you back to the new school year, wishing you a year filled with accomplishments and joy!

The Odyssey staff has undergone a few changes, with the addition of several section-editors for each section. In addition, we now have 2 co-sponsors, Mrs.Johnson and Mrs.Olivotti, along with our two administrators, Mrs.McMurrin and Ms.Bloom, who will be working alongside the Odyssey staff in order to share and uplift student voices!

We would like to thank you for your support, and are extremely excited for all the projects that are yet to come. Being a fully student driven newspaper that was only established this year, The Odyssey staff is working tirelessly in order to grow and develop each day.

Message from our Sponsors

   Mrs. Olivotti

Hello Lancers! I am happy to be back as a co-sponsor for this year’s publication of The Odyssey. Last year, our dedicated staff took on the extraordinary task of restarting and rebuilding Grant’s High School newspaper. This year, we have a fantastic team of writers, editors, and web designers who are excited to continue their work creating a space for student voices and share news about our school and local community. On behalf of The Odyssey, we look forward to the year ahead and hope you enjoy our work!

   Get to know Mrs.Johnson!

Hello! My name is Mrs. Johnson and I am the yearbook advisor here on campus. I also teach 11th grade English. This is my third year working here at Grant, and I love it! Before I came to Grant I grew up in San Diego and taught middle school English while coaching a high school dance team. I recently got married and am enjoying life with my husband and our two cats. My favorite part about teaching at Grant is our amazing community of students and staff. I can’t wait to see what my future holds here at Grant.
