Who remembers Avatar? It is one of the biggest blockbusters in cinema history and feels like a bizarre and distant dream. But now that Avatar: The Way of Water has been released 13 years after the original Avatar, fans are on the edge of their seats, curious about this new movie.

Disney launched the second teaser for Avatar's long-awaited sequel, featuring epic undersea battles and magnificent new species shown in the clip. The movie, premiered on December 16, 2022, gained a lot of fame for its unique and breathtaking visuals. James Cameron creates a CGI universe that is unparalleled in its use of color and organic movement, pushing the limits of filmmaking technology to the farthest extent.

Before watching the new Avatar movie, it would be helpful to revisit the first movie to get a glimpse of the relationships between the characters. During the first movie, ex-soldier Jake Sully (in a wheelchair) conformed to permanently using avatar technology to leave a hostile human force at Pandora’s Hell’s Gate. He has fully adopted Na'vi culture and joined the Omaticaya tribe. In the avatar world, the RDA (Resources Development Administration) are the villains. Quaritch's defeat in the critical Hometree conflict slowed down but presumably did not stop, while the RDA attempted to steal the planet's priceless Unobtanium resources. Now that the vital points of the first movie are clear, it will be easy to follow the plot for the second one.

The plot of the sequel follows ex-soldier Jake Sully, who has fallen in love and had children with Omatikaya clan member Neytiri. Avatar: The Way of Water is an eye-capturing movie, with a plot full of several surprises, ensuring to keep you on the edge of your seat. After watching this second movie, Avatar: The Way of Water, everyone should be on the lookout for the third movie coming December 2024.
